In the year 2000 the current title of "The Royal Bank of Scotland 6 Nations Rugby" was concluded when Italy signed up. Countries included now comprised Scotland, England, France, Ireland, Italy and Wales. The women's tournament was introduced in 2001 and includes the same countries as the men's except for Italy with Spain instead.
